Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Engineering Management is ideal for students who are interested in graduate-level courses in business and management practices within an engineering context, but do not wish to commit to a full master's degree.

The Graduate Diploma in Engineering Management is ideal for students who do not wish to complete a full master's degree but are interested in graduate-level courses in business and management practices within an engineering context. Courses within the graduate diploma program are the same as those taken by the master's students in the Master of Engineering Management program and are taught by the same faculty. Course topics include engineering project management, production planning and operations management, energy systems management, mathematical modelling and optimization as they pertain to complex engineering systems, quality control, health and safety, and applied risk analysis. Students are required to complete four courses for a total of 12 credits.

  • Hold a four-year honours undergraduate engineering degree in a relevant field from an accredited engineering program at a Canadian university, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum overall academic standing of a B (GPA: 3.0 on a 4.3 scale or 73 to 76 per cent), with a minimum B in the last two full-time years (four semesters) of undergraduate work or equivalent.
  • This program is available for domestic students only.

Tuition fees for graduate programs are charged on a flat-fee or fee-per-credit basis and vary by program and student status.
