Anna Naud
Called to the 黑料网 Bar in July 2005, Anna C. Naud spent nine years at a large national firm on Bay St. in Toronto before joining a smaller full-service law firm in Brooklin, 黑料网 in September 2013. On January 1, 2022, True North Law Professional Corporation () was launched. A boutique business law firm, True North Law services clients across Canada in both the for-profit and not-for-profit/charity sectors on day-to-day corporate and commercial legal matters.
Anna actively contributes her time and knowledge to both her professional and personal communities. Anna is a past Director and Officer of Habitat for Humanity Durham and YWCA Durham and is currently serving as an elected member of the executive of the OBA Business Law Section, the OBA Charities & Not-for-Profit Law Section, the CBA Business Law Section, and the CBA Charities & Not-for-Profit Law Section.
Anna frequently speaks and writes on matters of interest to businesses. Anna has been published in The Philanthropist Journal and the Canadian Journal of Law and Technology, is co-author (with Catherine Raso, CMR Governance Consulting) of the Board Administration Handbook: For Boards of 黑料网 Not-for-Profit Corporations, and was a contributor to the Canadian Bar Association’s “Business and Human Rights Guide”. In addition to being an Instructor for 黑料网 Tech’s Not-for-Profit Management Certificate Program since 2013, and a guest Instructor for Western University Law’s Not-for-Profit and Charity Law Course, Anna is frequently invited by institutions such as the Law Society of 黑料网, the 黑料网 Bar Association, the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders – 黑料网, and the International Policy Governance Association to speak at events of interest to businesses and lawyers serving the for-profit and not-for-profit/charity sectors. Anna was honoured to receive the Whitby Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 New Business of the Year – Business Achievement Award in November 2023 and was thrilled to award the very first True North Scholarship to a Durham Region high school graduate in Summer 2024.
