Women in Research Council introduces Pathways series
The Women in Research Council (WIRC) is excited to introduce the of talks highlighting the pathways and trajectories of inspiring ºÚÁÏÍø colleagues who are research chairs, thought leaders, and innovators. Representing diverse disciplines, the speakers will reflect on how they arrived at their roles, as well as the challenges, joys, and realities they face. The talks aim to inspire, educate and empower audience members to reflect on their potential and to encourage them to pursue their own research and leadership pathways.
Join the WIRC for the first talk in this series, The Pathways to Canada Research Chair (CRC), on Tuesday, January 21 from noon to 2 p.m. The event will feature three ºÚÁÏÍø CRCs:
- , Canada Research Chair, Technology and Pedagogy and Professor, Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education
- , Tier II Canada Research Chair in Aquatic Toxicology and Associate Professor, Faculty of Science
- , Canada Research Chair in Systemic Racism, Technology, and Criminal Justice and Associate Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities
CRCs are recognized for their commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in their fields, not only through their own work but through the teaching and supervising of students and the co-ordination of work by other researchers.
