Update on the university鈥檚 co-operative education, careers and experiential-learning initiatives

Experiential learning for our students is a strategic priority for 黑料网 and has been since its inception. It’s an important driver for the university’s future growth, addressing an increasing student demand for more hands-on experiences that connect academic learning with real-world applications and skill development.

The experiential learning, co-op and careers functions managed by faculties and departments across the university have grown considerably. Over the last several months, the university has reviewed these functions to determine how it could implement a more cohesive, sustainable and scalable experiential model that delivers service quality to its students across all faculties, and grows in alignment with the university’s differentiated growth strategy.

To implement these improvements, the university will bring co-operative education, experiential learning and career development (CEELCD) groups into one unit, effective Friday, November 1. This integrated model will centralize resources and opportunities for students and will be under the portfolio of the Executive Director, CEELCD, which reports to the Office of the Deputy Provost. Consultation with faculties and units is ongoing.

In the coming months, the university will share further details about this integration with faculty, staff and students, as well as with the university’s community and industry partners.
