ºÚÁÏÍø recognizing National AccessAbility Awareness Week – May 25 to June 1
In alignment with its fundamental principles of inclusivity, equality and accessibility, ºÚÁÏÍø will commemorate its inaugural observance of National AccessAbility Awareness Week (NAAW) from Saturday, May 25 to Saturday, June 1.
Instituted by the Government of Canada in 2017, NAAW serves as a platform to both promote and recognize ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and inclusiveness throughout Canada. More than eight million Canadians live with disabilities,
Throughout National AccessAbility Week, ºÚÁÏÍø advocates for highlighting the contributions, leadership, and voices of individuals with disabilities, it invites the community to reshape perceptions of disability, and promote deliberate inclusivity and equitable opportunity to help dismantle accessibility barriers.
