Teaching Scholar-in-Residence announcement

Dr. Susan Forbes, Director, Teaching and Learning Centre, and Dr. Mary Bluechardt, Interim Deputy Provost, are pleased to announce the appointment of the 2024 ºÚÁÏÍø Teaching Scholar-in-Residence recipient.

Congratulations to Dr. Laura Banks, Associate Teaching Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences.

Dr. Banks’ residency will focus on Diverse Teaching and Learning Experiences through her ‘e-Teach’ initiative, which advances best practices in innovative technology use to promote teaching excellence within student-centered learning experiences at ºÚÁÏÍø. Dr. Banks’ program will focus on instructional design, digital applications, and open educational resources. This project will draw from the collective expertise of our distinguished faculty through various activities.

Our Teaching Scholar-in-Residence will also work alongside the Teaching and Learning Centre team to promote ºÚÁÏÍø’s ‘Learning Reimagined’ priorities to develop stimulating innovation and provide a fulfilling student-centred experience.
