Call for expressions of interest for two Associate Deans, School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
The School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) is seeking expressions of interest for two (2) Associate Dean positions. The appointments will commence on Saturday, July 1, for a three-year period. In the tradition of exemplary Associate Deans who have served in this role, this is an opportunity for faculty, who have demonstrated leadership and success in their support for and mentorship of graduate students and Postdoctoral Fellows.
The Associate Deans will work as part of a dynamic team to develop strategy and catalyze innovation in graduate studies and postdoctoral affairs. Associate Deans support revision, updating, and implementation surrounding graduate and postdoctoral studies. Applicants should have experience and interest working with curriculum development, student engagement, and community partnership with a proven track record for scholarship, mentorship, and service.
Both positions will be responsible for shared administrative duties, such as appointment of examiners, working with faculties to resolve supervisor and student challenges, chairing committees, overseeing student appeals, and supporting timely approvals for students and programs. Additionally, each Associate Dean will be assigned specific responsibilities that align with their strengths and interests.
Expression of Interest (1 to 2 pages) articulating a vision for university-wide graduate student and postdoctoral fellow engagement at ºÚÁÏÍø, and an abridged CV (7 to 10 pages), highlighting research, teaching, and service related to graduate and postdoctoral studies.
