Volunteers needed for AskMe information booths
The Office of Student Life seeks faculty, staff and students to volunteer for on-campus AskMe information booths.
Running Monday, January 9 through Wednesday, January 11, AskMe information booths will be stationed across north and downtown campus locations to welcome new and returning students to campus. Volunteers will answer student questions and help them navigate the university’s campus. This is a great opportunity to directly connect with students and promote programs and services.
A Student Engagement and Equity staff member will offer virtual help for students who prefer speaking to someone online.
To sign up as a volunteer, complete the by Wednesday, December 14 at noon.
Training:
- The asynchronous training session is mandatory and will take approximately one hour to complete.
- Volunteers will receive:
- An overview of the program, tips on wayfinding and providing support, and information about COVID-19 health and safety measures and protocols.
- An email on Friday, December 16 confirming their shift and booth location along with training materials.
Volunteers will also receive a PDF with relevant information and a schedule of campus activities taking place during the first week of school (printed copies are available upon request). -branded t-shirts will be provided to those who require them.
