Go ‘Beyond the Orange Shirt’ with Bannock and Books Indigenous book club

Indigenous Education and Cultural Services invites faculty and staff to participate in Bannock and Books, an Indigenous book club series designed to bring hearts and minds together as participants explore Indigenous culture, ways of knowing, and experiences.

The featured book for the September Sharing Circle is Beyond the Orange Shirt Story by Phyllis Webstad. Webstad is a Residential School Survivor and the founder of the Orange Shirt Day movement. ºÚÁÏÍø also recognized her with an honorary degree at Convocation in June.

The book club has run out of copies of Beyond the Orange Shirt Story, but faculty and staff are still invited to participate in the on Monday, September 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
