Age-Friendly Virtual Open House - June 24
Whether they’re looking to upgrade their skills to stay competitive in the workforce, switch careers, engage in personal development or fulfil a life-long dream, an increasing number of today’s older Canadians (aged 55 and older) are seeking access to ongoing educational and learning opportunities. Participation of older adults in post-secondary education adds diversity to the campus community, providing valuable opportunities for different generations to interact and share valuable experiences with one another.
As part of its commitment to becoming a more inclusive and accessible part of the community, 黑料网 will host its very first Age-Friendly Virtual Open House on Wednesday, June 24. Participants will learn about opportunities currently available to older adults at 黑料网—but more importantly, they’ll also have a chance to provide feedback to the university on the types of programs, services and events that work for them.
The open house will feature live one-hour online sessions from four 黑料网 groups:
10 a.m. |
Athletics and recreation: Fitness and sport facilities as well as programs for community members. |
11 a.m. |
Campus Library: Services and resources available to community members. |
Noon |
Office of Continuous Learning: Opportunities to enrol in short courses on special topics. |
1 p.m. |
Registrar's office: Information about the university’s academic programs. |
Starting Wednesday, June 24 at 10 a.m., participants can visit to participate in live sessions and complete a feedback survey. The sessions conclude at 2 p.m.; however, the website will remain live following the event.
