Dr. Pierre Côté receives funding from Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation

Pierre Côté, PhD, Canada Research Chair in Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation and Associate Professor in ºÚÁÏÍø’s Faculty of Health Sciences, is one of four recipients of funding from the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) to tackle pressing issues for people suffering with spine, muscle, and nervous system problems.

Dr. Côté and his team are investigating which health-care providers Canadians call on when they have spine, muscle, and nervous system problems. He and his team believe answers can be found in two Statistics Canada surveys: the Canadian Community Health Survey and the Canadian Survey on Disability.

He hopes their findings will:

  • Help chiropractors improve patient care.
  • Help national and provincial chiropractic associations shape priorities.
  • Give government policy makers information about the people who use chiropractic and other services.
