Women Courageous workshop - February 6

Continuous Learning invites the campus community to enjoy an evening of networking, resources and inspiration at the Women Courageous Workshop on Thursday, February 6.

This interactive, educational event focuses on women leaders from diverse sectors who will share their stories of leadership, development, growth and advancement. Find out how they navigate challenges, what resources have enabled them to prevail, and how they are thriving in leadership.

Guest speakers include:

  • Kojenwa Moitt, CEO, Zebra Public Relations
  • Lise Crouch, Superintendent, RCMP
  • Kirsten Moore, Lakeridge Health
  • Cathy Bawden, Inspector, Durham Region Police Service
  • Celina Caesar-Chavannes, former Member of Parliament for Whitby

Participants will also take part in an interactive workshop to analyze and develop strategies for various challenges women face throughout their leadership journey, such as reduced access to mentorship and development opportunities, gender bias and wage inequality.

Who should attend?

  • All genders of leaders seeking better leadership practices related to gender diversity in the workplace.
  • Emerging women leaders looking for support to navigate leadership within their own organization.
  • Emerging and existing male leaders who support effective gender diversity within leadership in their workplace.
  • Existing women leaders who can contribute to the discussion around adversity and women in leadership.

  • Cost: $85 plus tax (parking included)
